Defoe contacts West Ham over January return

Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe has contacted former club West Ham over a return in January, reports Football Insider. 
The 36-year-old has struggled for game time with the Cherries this season, making just four appearances in all competitions.
Defoe has sounded out his former club over a move, with the Hammers potentially interested due to fitness concerns over Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez, and the indifferent form of Lucas Perez
